this morning it was -38.5C when i got up ... brrrrrrrr ... i am SO thankful that we are in our condo ... it is cozy, toasty here ... the rental was quite drafty, and we just couldn't stay warm on really cold nights ... but here, we are quite content!
next week, my west coast sister is coming to visit ... um, i sure hope she doesn't freeze! they barely get snow in Victoria - and the grass is green all year round ... but the prairies dance to a different tune, played by jack frost ... and the frosty pipers ...
the cold makes me babble ... *grinning* ... did you notice?
anyway, nothing too terrible profound, just thought i would post - incase you wondered where i was!
just hibernating ...
Inside myself is a place where I live all alone,
and that's where I renew my springs that never dry up.

i'm always glad to read what you're up to. and i love your "babbling", it makes me feel like we're hanging out chatting. could you go on some more? I quite fancy your accent. :)
OK ... I just did a Celsius to Farhenheit conversion (I'm terrible at math) on line and -38 C = -36.4 F.
Either way, that is VERY cold. Keep warm in your condo ... I won't complain about our 28 F (or 2.2 C) .. Tonight we're supposed to get freezing rain.
jeanette ...*grin* ... except for the occasional, "eh", you'd never know where i came from - well maybe the constant talk about weather might give it away too! you still swimming everyday?
mrs. mac ... at -40C, it becomes the same as 40 below in F .... all things can be equal sometimes????? ... this warming it was a wee bit warmer at -35C ... and with the freezing rain coming at your place, i hpe you don't have to drive anywhere, this is wicked stuff!
HA! Well, you're not from California, I could tell that from when we talked that one time. We Californian's have no accent. :P
Oh, yes, still swimming. :)
Thats a nice quote...and its a good day here for hibernating too. Under 10 degrees. Happy you...getting a visit from your sister soon =). How much fun that will be! I need to get busy and do some ironing but I'm finishing my book...and oh what a good one it is. Thankfully for the house, I'm coming down the home stretch now...the ending is in sight in another oh...hour I'd say. I hate it when a story ends though, I rather feel like I know the folks by then..=). Stay cozy!
I am hibernating, too! Yesterday our high was only 6 degrees F....sigh... and only double that today (I'm trying to be thrilled with that warming trend...heh...). Stay warm and thanks for letting me know about the movie in your town! Dennis Quaid is a favorite!:) Blessings, Debra
jeanette ... *grinning* ... here i thought mine was a very generic speech ...
maggie ann ... i am always sad when a good book ends too ... it's always a "good bye" of sorts ... hope you are having a toasty warm evening!
debra ... and you guys have a bit of humidity too, right? brrrr ... i really do feel sorry for the movie people in town - they aren't used to this type of weather!! us locals have problems with it too ... well back to hibernating - and CSI is on soon to help in that regard!!! keep warm!
Hibernating sounds wonderful!! I can't believe how cold it is where you are! Well, I *can* believe it, because it got that cold in Moose Jaw, too, some winters, but I've become a winter wimp after living in Texas for so long. :) I'm glad your condo is so cozy! Huddle up and stay warm! Hopefully it will at least be on the positive side of zero by the time your sister visits.
catherine ... i would love to be a winter wimp again ... i always fondly remember our winters in arizona when it's cold like this!
Dear Saija... I did me some hibernating myself this weekend,
After being so kind to Mrs. Mac and letting her off easily about no snowballs coming her way, she wishes more snow upon me!
I was hibernating this whole weekend, I am telling you...Hibernating at work no less!!
The snow was so thick that Betty couldn't get in and so thick that I couldn't ger out so there I was snowed in with Miss Katy!!
Not that I minded of course, but there was one disappointed "car full of kids" that couldn't get to Sunday School!!
Keep warm in the cold Saija!!
Some how I think those temps of yours would sound a whole lot better in Fahrenheit!!..Love Terry
That Jeanette is sure a bad one for rubbing it in, eh Saija? There she is bragging about swimming!! Ha!!
terry ... i read on maiju's comments about the snow you got ... sheesh, to get snowed in, eh! ... and if jeanette were here, she could only swim amongst the ice cubes ... :o) ...
