Goodbye Ruth ... we shall meet over on the otherside

i'm thinking that there was rejoicing in heaven, as ruth went to be with her Lord ...

through the years, she was an example to me of what a Godly woman was ... how she lived ... treated her family ... and the grace she showed even in the spotlight of that media glare ...

i've read many of ruth's books ... even my little style of the "three dots" inbetween thoughts, i borrowed from her ...

she would have made an inspirational blogger ... and charmingly witty as well ... but MOST important, her love for Jesus shown through in all she penned and in the way she lived that "celebrity" life ... humbly, before the Lord, giving Him the glory ...

Your post is so neat. Sums up what the rest of us Christians know - she's gone - but we will soon meet her on the other side!

I love her words, too!

She was such an example of grace - her husband said he can't imagine ever not having her by his side - even in eternity....a spouse cound't speak a more touching tribute then that, and now her joy is complete.

barbara ... it's that glad/sad feeling about her death ... so happy she is out of her pain and with the Lord, yet sad for her family - who will miss the everyday life with her ...

pat ... they truly were a team ... and the fact they still loved each other at the end of their days ... and gave Glory to God in all things - what a legacy to leave behind ...

lorna ... ruth was a part of my Christian life - from the very beginning ... so i almost feel a personal loss ... as do many others i'm sure ...

Thank you for posting this...you are the first person I hear it from! She will be missed, but like you said, and like that song my sister likes to sing so much "in the sweet by and by, we shall meet on that beautiful shore..."

May God bless your day with His goodness,
the little Pilgrim pal

Dear Saija...She was quite the Christian lady for sure!
I read some of her books and one of the stories she told in one of them is when the children were young and when she went through the nightly routine of going to each of their beds at nignt time to pray for them, she looked longingly at her son Franklin, who at that time of his life was a little rebellious and a hand full.
As she gazed at his sleeping face one night, she prayed to the Lord that her son would find out that the only way he could become a Christian is through a personal relationship with Him.
I guess her prayers were answered, eh Saija..What a wonderful testimony her son is!!
When I was out west, I used to write to Billy Graham's daughter, Bunnie.
My dad has been known to watch Billy Graham on occasion because as far as "he" was concerned Billy Graham was the only TV preacher that spoke the truth and wasn't begging for money all the time!!
Mind you though Saija, Dad never did hear Charles Stanley!!
Take care and thank you for putting in such a godly looking picture of Ruth Graham...Love Terry
