peace like a river ...

with all the stress that our lives in this world can hold ... i'm so glad that Jesus is the one who holds my future ... and when things start to really drag me down - i ask Him for a way to escape the knots in my stomach and the uncertainty clouding my mind ... He provides it ...

a very good friend of ours (leo's high school chum) went to leo's dad's funeral ... he called us tonight to give us details ... he said that leo's mom is looking strong and he chatted with her for a while ... it is always a bonus to get an opinion from someone outside the family ... that was a good thing ...

tomorrow company is coming ... so life continues on ...

That's a nice post, Dear Saija. I wrote some posts about peace and was thinking of you.

Hi Saija,

I am still having trouble. I admire the way you can ask and receive a way through things. It just doesn't seem to happen for me. Everything just leads down and down. I am 39 and I can't see myself living much longer with the pain of arachnoiditis. I need help but wherever I turn ends up being a dud.

Please pass my thoughts to Leo, both for the loss of his Dad and his pain. There are others out there who share his pain.

Yes, life goes on to be lived the one day at a time that we are given it :o) Bless you both.

May God carry you through this hard time in life! We can rely on His strength when our own dries out.

Blessings!

What a time of transition for you and Leo. May the Lord continue to strengthen you physically and may your spirit be filled with peace as He leads you and guides you each day.

What a blessing to know who holds our future! I just posted on my blog about the same thing and even used the same verse. I will keep you and Leo in my prayers.

Thanks, Saija, for this uplifting post. And for the report on Leo's mom and the funeral.
This is a hard time of life but you seem to be ready.
