Isaiah 46:4

isn't that a wonderful promise? ...
HE Will Sustain US ...
and rescue us ...
even to our old age ...

I just read this verse the other day, I don't know how I could have possibly read it before and not remembered it...it's so meaningful for me today. God brings to mind the scriptures when we need them, that's why He tells us to hide the Word in our heart...it's always there to bring to memory and comfort us.

Yes, it is a wonderful promise, Saija. And I like the word about gray hair being a crown of glory. :o)

Do you post the words on the pictures? Or do you find these in books? They would make great posters.Jackie

That is beautiful. I work in a nursing home and have been blessed to take care of people who can attest to the truth of that promise. I love the picture of the hands. Wrinkles show such character, and a different kind of beauty, don't you think?

pat ... i just saw this the other day too - and thought it would go great on a picture (which i found on the net) - so i put them together ... :o) ... and amen to hiding the word in our hearts!

cathy ... :o) ... yes, experience and a Godly senior - who can beat that!

jackie ... i like to make these kinds of posters ... i put the verse on this pic that i found ... i should just invest in a fancier photoshop program!

mari ... i loved the hands in the picture too ... yes, a different type of beauty ... :o)

actually i was reading Isaiah 46 this morning. One thing that consoles me from Isaiah is that, Israel is a country that, in spite of all that God has done for them, inspite of the special treatment He gave, went astray over and over. And God still never abandoned them!

God wont give up on us...

ab ... me too, i'm so glad that God doesn't give up on us ... on me!!!

Susan ... *smiling* ... our bodies age, but our spirits grow younger and more Christ like!

Deby ... without Christ, i would be lost, lost, lost! i am so glad that HE sustains and keeps me!

mimi ... and we don't need plastic surgery ... because the Lord keeps us young at heart!
