the week that was ...

this was a quick week ... and thankfully, it ended up being a peaceful and contented one too! i thought i would give you guys a visual glimpse into it ... and thank you again for your care and prayer for leo during his hospital and recoup time!

we start with the "family photo", taken this morning ... "squeaks" seems to be settling in nicely ... and tho' i am ready to give him back some mornings (i forgot how NUTS kittens are), he is very loveable and brings joy into our daily routine ....

next is the job that i finally "got too" ... some much needed cosmetic painting of the garage side door and trim - it was fun to do the work and i definitely had a feeling of accomplishment once it was finished! :o) ... if the weather continues to cooperate, i may even stain our little back deck? maybe?

my litte flower garden is continuing to produce ... even tho' there is that twinge of fall in the air ... i am so thankful that God gave us this lovely little garden to enjoy!!!

and little squeaks loves to help me blog ... or write e-mails ... or surf the net ... he wants to put his little paws on the keyboard to add his thoughts into my mix - but that is a definite "NO" !!! he does escape my grasp and run amuck in the wires behind the computer desk!!! arghh - he is oblivious to the dangers ... and doesn't understand why i drag him out from under there!

mid week, leo was feeling well enough to leave by himself ... i was able to take a little day trip to grand forks, north dakota, with my cousin ... it was a very relaxing time - just great ...
so another week comes to a close ... i'm thankful for the grace of God in the little things ... it's the little things that make up most of our days ...
blessings on your weekend!

Saija,
you look very relaxed painting the garage door... looks like it might be just what the doctor ordered for you...and the picture of the North Dakota Sunset is breath taking... sounds like a relaxing time was had by all... and it's so good to hear that Leo was feeling well enough to stay by himself for a little while.
there is strength in prayer.
Hugs to you and Leo

Sqeaks sounds like my little Rosh, who found me two years ago at this time. Rosh drove me nuts unil he was adopted 3 months later, but he was the cutest kitten I ever had, and followed me like a dog. I had a manufacturing home-based business, and he would jump up on my workspace and "help" me all the time. Oh, he and Squeaks are the same color, too!

May God bless you and your husband, and strengthen you both for each day.

Aw, I love all the pictures. I prayed for you and Leo and Squeaks, of course. I guess that is his new name. The painting looks great! Little kitty is cute- guess he will settle down? You hope. Looks like he loves you both. :o) Oh, and your flower garden is lovely.

I've enjoyed your post and each picture. Your flowers are gorgeous..and your newest member of the family looks like a little charmer...=). How good that your hubby is feeling better...I can only imagine how good that really is! I'm off to bed, I've packed a lunch, hung up a load of clothes... & watched the end of 'The Parent Trap' while in the kitchen. Our son took us out to supper tonight...and it was delish. The chicken had a cranberry/cucumber salsa on it. bye for now...

So nice to see everyone even Squeaks looking so good. Squeaks looks like my Sammy that ran away that night that we were robbed. I loved Sammy so much!! I still miss him. I bet he will grow up to look just like him. They are so much fun because they just love having fun. Leo looks good too and that is so important.

What a wonderful post. We got to see both you and Leo. You are both looking well. We found out the kitty's name and were able to see that Squeaks is very cute. We saw a beautiful flower and a sunset, and on top of that, good news that Leo is feeling better and you took a trip! I am happy just reading this post!

Hi Saija, I should have stopped in before now - I had read the other day about Leo's hospitalization. I'm so glad he's home now, and do pray he is recovering and feeling better.

Little Squeaks is a cutie!

A gooooood week! Had no idea North Dakota would be easy to get to! The little kitty boy is too cute for words... We got a kitten who was a girl two years ago and we named her Grey-see?. Then we took him to vet and he had a transformation and became a boy. So now his name is Grey-son! But I call him Killer. Use your imagination as to why!

pat ... i wanted to share some happier, more carefree moments too ...:o)

tina ... leo is feeling better - poor guy might have had this bacterial thing for a while ...

debra ... as i'm typing this, there is a little paw trying to catch my fingers as they glide over the keyboard! *laughing*

mari ...yes so many blessings to share! glad you enjoyed the pics!

gayla ... we've been so fortunate that he hasn't had many hospital stays in the past years - tho' it was a "nice" stay - if you can say that of being sick & hospitalized!

antibck ... yes, most of us canadians live a few hours drive from the U.S. border ... :o) ... and now that our $$ are almost equal value, it is fun to go shopping stateside ...

I am hoping to start painting my entire house, inside and out, soon. Want to come over and help? You look like you know what you're doing. :)
