brrrrrr

i bet you can feel the coolness of the weather in our little town ... the snow was crunching underneath my boots and the water has started to think of freezing up!
there is a stark beauty in the scenery ... the colours are faded - yet appealing ...

today was the first event of the holiday season ... our christmas craft sale ... the town was full of folks looking at what the local artisans had made or baked ... my aunt and i spent a few hours taking it all in ... and finding a few treasures ... it was fun ... *smile* ...

Those are beautiful pictures. We are supposed to get snow, starting tomorrow and lasting all week. I really don't think I'm ready for it yet!

brrr, is right! The pictures are very pretty. Surely that sale was not outside?! We had a loud thunderstorm last night, and it was almost warm, though windy, outside today. One boy in the neighborhood was barefooted! But it is supposed to get much cooler.

Dear Saija,
I can hear that crunching sound from days of my childhood. I can see that the snow is just so dry-frozen.
It is however only mid-November.
Early, eh?
My Mom uses to say that the snow is another proof of the Almighty's wisdom.
Just when the scenery is getting too dark, and the days too short for us Northerners, he brightens up both day and night with snow.

How beautifully Felisol wrote of her childhood memories. It really came alive to me, I too can almost hear the snow crunching.
This amount of snow I don't mind...it's what lies ahead!
Stay warm!

Amazing pictures. And to see them while our temps have been in the
90's (!!!!), is even more Amazing.
It looks very very cold there!

Eww! We only have -2,5 C today, but still it isn't that wintery. And the sun is shining for a change! I'm so not ready for winter! Or for Christmas, either... Our town had the first "Christmas opening" on Saturday - next weekend they'll "open" the Old Town Christmas. Stupid, two Christmas openings in one small town! And in November!

Is there anything more fun than two gals getting together? Sounds like fun to me...don't you just love to see whats out there for sale in the big wide world..then come home thanking God in your heart for all he's given you. Paid for long ago...thats sometimes how I feel when going through a favorite furniture store. Paid for long ago...thats something else God did for us. *hugs*..its snowing something pretty here today. Makes up for those gray skies and darkish house. =)

Hmmmm, we switched to Mozilla Firefox for a server and maybe thats why your sidebar is different to me. I'm thinking thats it. I'm off to call it a day. Even though I'm asleep on my feet its such a nice time of life...when the world comes to a stop..to rest and reflect, at the very end of the day. One that will never come again. Better days ahead...especially with the promise of eternal life just around the corner one of these years.

Every season has its own special 'treasure'... and is anticipated before it arrives. I agree about the winter sky ... outside does have a black and white appearance. Hope you enjoyed your Christmas craft sale. Keep warm.

Hugs

Your pictures are beautiful!! truly gives one chills thinking about the cold.
We had several inches of snow today but it was that wet heavy kind that hung on the trees and perfect to make snowmen with.
