goodbye Dana ...

i just heard on the news that Dana Reeve died late last night of lung cancer ... she was just diagnosed 7 months ago and was 44 years old ...

i was telling leo that she was a wonderful role model for the caregiver - optimistic and never seemed to tire ... when her husband died, i thought that she might actually be able to enjoy life and see to some of her own interests ... but our life and times are not in our hands ...

still i can't help but feel sad for the tragedy that the reeve's family has seen ... especially the 13 year old son left behind ...

all this is a reminder that life is so temporary ... "So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal." 2 Corinthians 4:18 (NIV)

Amen, this life is so short if we but could realize this truth.... That was sad news about Dana Reeve's death ...and her son left alone now, for who can take a Mother's place?

maggie ann ... i did hear that she had made arrangements concerning her son - at least she was able to do that herself, yet truly sad for them ... young Will seemed more mature than his years when i heard him interviewed a few months back ...

It was quite sad to hear this news. There poor children have been through so much in thier short lives, I pray that God gives them the strength they will need to be strong and understand that everything happens for a reason, whether we like it or not.

Ed ... i heard that Lance Armstrong has gotten to know 13 yr. old Will Reeve and that he has been there for him ... by all the media accounts Will is mature way way beyond his years ...

homemakerang ... i just visited your blog & absolutely love love love your pictures! ...and, i agree with you, we need to make each day matter because our lives are short - atleast the believer has the hope of an eternity with Jesus!
