chronic pain and yucky feelings ...

leo has a low grade fever, dizziness and really yucky (my medical term!) feeling ... this is the second time in 3 weeks ... only today i was at work ... he called me a few times in the morning, quite disoriented ... but i did the "mom" thing over the phone, he followed instructions to a "T" and the fever broke a bit ... i made him chicken noodle soup when i got home ... and just tried to make him feel comfy ...

chronic pain is difficult to live with ... but when the flu or a virus hit ... well that makes it that much harder ...

we deal with these things, one at a time - as they come ...

sometimes we feel like we have some answers ... and enough faith and hope to conquer lifes harder issues ... other times we just hang on to the bible promises we know and pray that we aren't a bad example or wimpy Christians ...

through it all - we do have a hope of heaven because we've placed our trust in Jesus ... who bridged that gap between us and God the Father ...

we see through a glass darkly here on earth ... our ways are not God's ways ... that's where faith comes in ... we just believe that one day we will see the purpose in this chronic pain walk ... we just can not see the "why's" here ...

well, i just made leo a chocolate milk shake ... hopefully that helps him get over the yuckiness (another medical term) ...

tomorrow is another day ... another challenge ... the same God to rely on ... and for that i am thankful!

Sounds like tough times. A chocolate milkshake is a good start, though. ;) Hope he feels better soon.

Love helps yuckiness, too. Sounds like there is some of that too where you live. :)

Hugs to you and Leo. Hope he feels better soon.

It is hard sometimes, isn't it? But we need to hang onto the good things and sometimes, we come out the other side, seeing things from a diferent perspective.

"tomorrow is another day ... another challenge ... the same God to rely on ... and for that i am thankful!"

Truth indeed Saija.. thanks

debra ... thank you for praying, i so appreciate that! leo had another bad day today ... but now that i'm home - he's better ... i always planned to work a few more years, but if leo's health continues to take a slide, well i guess i will be retiring earlier! ... hope you guys are having a good weekend!!

elizabeth ... yup, yucky is no fun at all! that poor boy of mine ... he's resting now with his stanley cup play-offs on tv!

maggie ann ... amen! even so, come Lord Jesus, come ... i love that prayer and look forward to that "one day" ... i made leo another milk shake this evening - yup, i'm the "doc" most folks would like *grin* ...

barbara ... it is quite difficult to watch someone suffer ... you'd think i would be practised up after 20 some years - but no, it is still hard ... and indeed, all of this chronic stuff has given me a different way of looking at the "normal" ... blessings to you!
