continual blooming

even though we have been having a dry, prairie heatwave - the various flowers keep popping up to delight us ... i am such a poor flower expert, that i don't know the names of many of them - and some i have never even seen before ... the previous owner of our rental had an amazing green thumb! *smile*, all we can do is enjoy ...

A perfect summer day is when the sun is shining,
the breeze is blowing,
the birds are singing,
and the lawn mower is broken.

Beautiful flower...one I too have not seen before...though I am certainly NOT an expert. A friend gave me some kind of daisys and I planted them outside my window by the kitchen sink and also can be seen by the computer desk...lovely to look at and see it blooming away.

Hi Saija. Your flower is a gaillardia. It looks like "Goblin" to me (I have one), but there may be more varieties I don't know about. It's a tough little thing that doesn't need much water.

I'm glad you're taking time to enjoy the beauty around you. And share it with us. :)

Leo's sister died yesterday - it was totally unexpected, she went to sleep and never woke up ... so we are in an "unreal" type of reality at the moment ... will blog later ...

What a beautiful post..I'm glad the flowers bloom and the sun shines, even when our hearts are breaking. God keeps us in his hand and never lets us go.
