busier lifestyle ...

after 3 weeks of bitterly cold weather, it has finally lifted ... we're back to seasonal temps and might i dare say "walking weather" ... how wonderful that sounds!!!!

even though it has been so cold, my life has been busier than usual ... company and settling in here at condo central, have made time fly!

yesterday, one of my
childhood buds dropped by ... with gifts and a cake! the cake was a rich chocolate affair, that we quickly ate half of! and the gifts were 3 wooden johan flowers ... they are made by a finnish designer, johan puu ...

as you can see, i wasted no time putting them up ... you can check them out closer on
my finnish home ....

the other two were different in colour ... one was red and the other blue ... i really love them ... i'm looking at the flower pictured above, as i type this ... *grin* ...

well i am getting more company today ... and possibly company on sunday ... so i must scoot ...

just had to share the lovely gift ... God's goodness is fresh every day ...

So nice Saija!

The winter has lifted here for the last couple of days too and the icicles and snow are melting.
I remember when we lived in Manitoba, it just seemed that the day that things started to melt than Spring had finally arrived and was gone and for some reason didn't keep returning.
In Ontario, even though we have thaws, it doesn't mean that winter won't show its white head again!

Oh for the spring days on the prairies when we kids would be making dams on the street ditches from the melting snow!!
And getting the marble holes for the Spring alley games!!!
Just glorious!!

Blessings Saija!...Love Terry

Love the flowers! (Though they make me even crazier for Spring.) Glad you are warming up--we are, too, but very sloooowly.... Hooray! Blessings, Debra

terry ... well, we're not quite there yet in the warming department - no thaws, but atleast it's not bitterly cold!! the sun is out, and there's heat in the sun! ya! Lord bless ya too!

debra ... i still need to put up things in some of the rooms - it seems that i can't visualize what to put where! but these wooden decorative flowers - well they flew onto my walls, they knew where they wanted to shine! blessings backatcha!

What a nice gift - flowers to lift your spirits all year round!
No thaw here in Michigan yet, possibly a little warmer by the end of the week. That's February!
Blessings!

pat ... yes, february is certainly the chilliest of months - so wooden flowers are the best to give, they won't fade or freeze!!! :o) blessings to you too!

The Johan things are sooooo pretty... There are angels and flowers and birds and small "windows" and what ever! But I've never seen the one on your picture before - it's very pretty too!

I'm so glad to hear things are warming up in your neck of the woods! It was a short winter in Texas -- we're already having temps in the upper 60s this week.

catherine ... if we can get ours to hover around 0C (or 32F) for highs - that would be super ... it is snowing a weebit right now ... very pretty ...
