do not lose heart ...

i love verses like 2 Corinthians 4:16 ... reminders that even though we may feel tired, because our bodies are aging and strength failing, our inward man can still be growing and becoming stronger and stronger ...

today i feel physically wiped ... i think the activities of the past year ... good and bad ... have finally caught up with me! ... or maybe it's that birthday i just celebrated ... either way, i'm hoping for a quiet weekend ... time for recharging batteries ...

blessings on your weekend ...

You are so right...time to recharge! It took me all week to recoup from last weekend...well Saturday and Monday...had 8 people in to lunch, worship, etc and then the family on Monday...and I am still kind of tired!! Tis not easy to grow old so soon!

We all have those times when we need to be in a quiet place - time to refresh and renew. That's the way God planned it, we are not those energizer bunnies, no matter how hard we try!
Enjoy your weekend, I'd like to do the same thing, but I have obligations to take care of ~ maybe next weekend for me!

elizabeth ... i love company, then i love the solitude ... so i hear ya!

jel ... well i need to drive 50 minutes to get to it - but i have found some good buys there ... tho' i love the cute little stores in our town ... :o)

pat ... i think "regular" folks are made different from the "leaders" of the world - i don't know how they manage to juggle everything ... i'd definintely drop a few balls! but as you say, that's the way God planned it and i admit to my physical weakness! i had a good snooze last night - just what i needed!

I hope you're feeling well-rested by now! Tomorrow will be my recharging day -- I haven't had a day entirely to myself, with no work or social obligations, in two weeks, and I'm ready to spend a quiet day at home doing whatever I want to do.
