harvest season ...

just thought i would share a few photo's i took this week ... my days have been full of visual beauty ... i just love summer in manitoba ... it is brief, yet brimming to the full with God's goodness ... all around ... to see ... if a person only looks ...

crops are being harvested ... i find it calming to watch the combines swath the fields ... reasuring somehow ...

my flower garden has new beauties cropping up, to take the place of the ones which have had their season in the sun ... each offering thrills me and makes me smile ...

and as i was watering these flowers ... i noticed the sunset - which held promise of being one of those "wow" moments ... so i grabbed my camera and went to inspect it in a more open area ...

this is what i captured ... very pleasing to my eye ...

i'm glad that God gives me these moments to rejoice in ... i look for any excuse to look up - and expectantly point my face towards heaven ... waiting ... just waiting ...
blessings on your weekend!

Just simply gorgeous!! Aren't we so fortunate to have these great cameras that we can just step outside and take these marvelous pictures of all of God's beautiful creations? When I was growing up we never had cameras because my parents could not afford them much less get the pictures developed. Now we can just get a picture in just a few seconds..How wonderful. I love your pictures!! have a great weekend. Sandy

beautiful. You have such a keen eye for catching God's beautiful creation. Thank you so much for sharing it!

As I looked at the beauty, I was thinking of the struggle with timing you had as you looked and looked for a place to live. Just imagine how God was preparing that place so that you would see that beauty. He's so good to us!!!!!

NICE PICTURES -- imagine Saija, "Eye has not seen or ear heard nor has entered into the mind what GOD has prepared for them that LOVE HIM "

tina ... isn't it truly a blessing about this condo? and i remember how anxious i was when our house sold and we had no where to move - it has been worth the 10 month wait ... sometimes God doesn't answer with a "no", just a "wait" ... i'm just an impatient soul at times! hope you are having a wonderful weekend!

passing-thru ... isn't that a wonderful promise?!!! the older i get, the more i anticipate heaven! "what a day that will be, when my Jesus i shall see ... when i look upon His face, the One who saved me by His grace ... " ....

mari ... i do so enjoy my little town ... it is a place i have grown to love! :o)

There is something very soft yet very powerful about these photos ~ they truly remind me of God. His touch is tender and gentle, yet he is so strong filled with might. It's amazing to "see" God in all he created. Thank you for sharing his Wonder...you did a beautiful job!

Soaking up the summer's pleasures and blessings to tide you over through the darker winter months ... makes the earth's "rebirth" process so much of a longing to look forward to ... a great parallel to the return of Christ. Beautiful pictures!

pat ... and that's what i hope to do - take others along with me, when i think of God's faithfulness towards us ... :o) ... isn't HE AWESOME?!!

nancy ... thank you ... and amen - God is truly a GREAT GOD!

mrs. mac ... trying to soak it all up in store for the long winter - i should atleast have enough pictures to keep me going for awhile!!! praise God there is always that "hope"!

Yes - that promise of Eye has not seen is truly AMAZING as we can only judge by what we HAVE SEEN --and I remember your old posts as I read thru them on your moving out of your home to this new location and Leo going down the river in his boat -- And now U sound just thrilled with this new home -- GOD'S WAYS ARE ABOVE OUR WAYS --

passing-thru ... we've been so blessed by this journey - even though i had such "little faith" at times ... i guess my faith needed exercising!

Hi Saija

I've been inspired. Tomorrow I seek the help that I have been needing. I know that it will be a long struggle, but I hope the end result is worth the effort

Hi Saija! Thanks for stopping by and saying hello :)
I'm so glad you went out early to see that sunrise in the post below! How lovely to be 20 seconds from the beach.
And now the sunset too....thanks for treating us to these lovely photos.
There's God-given beauty all around indeed. Doesn't the camera make you notice much more?
I see you have some lovely flowers. The lilies are simply gorgeous, and snapdragons are always beautiful.
I loved reading the story about Franklin Graham and Calvin Booth. A wonderful testimony! Thanks for sharing that.

Beautiful" Simply beautiful! We also have those round hay bales nowadays in Finland. When we used to have a horse the hay bales were square. I prefer those hay poles. I know how hard work it is to but that hay on a pole but they look so peaceful and they are full of country side romance.

Saija said...

maiju ... my Finn cousins sent me pictures of the old way of doing hay, with the poles ... they were showing their children - so that they would remember "the old ways" as well! :o)
