the view from the hospital room ...

this is the view from leo's hospital room ... yes - you read correctly, my leo ended up in emerge last night because of a 103F fever ... and he was rather incoherent ... not to mention falling down! sooooooooo, at 10 p.m. we were in the small town hospital emerge, where they were waiting for him (i'd called ahead) and he was in a room as fast as the wheelchair could go ... all the bloodwork, xrays, etc., were done quickly & efficiently ... and the antibiotic drip got started right away ...

i slept 3 hours last night ... and the poor kitty was by his lonesome, tho' he has started to eat & drink now ...

leo's fever has left ... but the doctor thinks the cause is still lurking somewhere in leo's lungs ... so he gets to stay another night or two ...

if you would remember us in prayer, i would appreciate it ...

we are thankful that things got taken care of as quickly as possible ... that the hospital is close by ... we know God is in control ... and i have praying friends ... which means - you - to encourage us along ... thanking my blog buds in advance ...

UPDATE as of 9 p.m. ... Leo is doing SO MUCH better! we had a nice evening visit, as his 3rd antibiotic dose, drip drip dripped into his veins ... i'm hoping he can come home on sunday ... thank you so much for your prayers! i felt comforted, knowing that you were all only a post away! blessings to you ...

I suppose if you have to be in a hospital that's a lovely sight!
Praying for Leo and for you ~ may you both feel Gods presence and may the Doctors hands and minds be guided by the Lord that they can administer the best care possible.
I'll keep you both in prayer - God is faithful.

That is a beautiful view for a hospital room.
Lord - be with the Dr's. Give them guidance and knowledge to discover what is causing this. Alleviate any pain and discomfort Leo is in and give him peace of mind as well. Also put your arms around Saija as she supports Leo. Be her support as she seeks to remain strong. Thank you for being their comfort during a tough time. Amen

Lord, be with Leo and Saija. Give them peace and comfort during this time of illness and let Leo's recovery be speedy and complete. Bless the medical team who care for him and give Sajia an extra measure of strength as she stands as his helpmate. Amen.

Mari and Sara have said what I would like to say.

Lord, I come alongside with Mari and Sara in asking for Leo's healing and for your comforting and strengthening presence to be felt by both of them and the medical staff. Amen.

gracious God please be with Saija and Leo during this time of high fever. be with the doctors caring for him and guide them as they seek to find out the underlying problem, so they can correct it.. ease Leo's pain and keep Saija strong as she continues to be the care giver to Leo through this life of suffering that you have blessed him with. I ask in Jesus Name ... Amen

Oh dear! I'll be praying that Leo gets better soon and can go home again. I'm glad he has a nice view, though, and I'm very glad your kitty is eating and drinking. Blessings to you both and do try to get some sleep, though I know at times like these, it's hard. But please remember we are there with you in spirit, us, and God, too, of course! Thanks for letting us now so we can pray.... Debra

Oh, no, Dear Saija, I am so sorry to hear that Leo is sick in the hospital. That IS a pretty view from a hospital room. Bless your hearts. I do pray he will be well soon, and that God will give you both extra strength. Goodness, I hope you can get some rest. I guess the little kitty did not know what to think with his buddies gone. You will be in my thoughts and prayers.

Dear Saija and Leo,
I heard about Leo on Pilgrim Pals, and of course started praying. Isiah says that Jesus was a man well known with pain. I kind of find that comforting. Only the one who has felt these unbearable pains Leo is going through can be trusted to be of help. Jesus can and he will after his promise do. I looked up arachnoidetus and feel so both for Leo who has lived two decades with this pain, and for you who have to live your life mostly according to Leo's ups and downs.
My mother always said, referring to my father and her,"It's a good thing we are well known with pains and illness both of us. Else I can't imagine how we would cope with each other.
Daughter Serina, who was diagnosed with Reactive arthritis this summer, cried ,"Mom why are you hitting me?" as I was gently stroking her forehead while in hospital.
I felt crushed, and we all hope that she will get well in not to long..(The docs say that the possibility for a set back always will remain.)
We are indeed living by His mercy alone.
I for certain know I have nobody else to lean to...And I am every day feeling blessed that the Pilgrim Pals found me.
I strongly believe in what my father called prayer rings.
Theere's a source of strength and support that the world cannot understand.
P.S. Our very best Terry has birthday today. Thought you might like to know.
God bless all of you and give you peace.
Yours Felisol

Father God I lift Saija and her husband up to you in prayer. I thank you Father that you give us the privledge of praying one for another. I thank you for this blog that makes it possible to be aware of when our blog friends are hurting and need prayer and support. My prayer to day for them is that your peace will hold them, as you do in the palm of your hand. I pray for your Godly wisdom to speak to the Doctors to find the cause and solutions that are needed. I thank you Father God that you hear our prayers. I thank you Father God for the many that are praying around the world. In my Saviors precious, precious name, I pray.
Susan
PS I want you to know you came to my mind while I was at Church praying this morning and I lifted you up then.

It seems even the deer in your area are hanging around to give Leo their support, as do we.

Keep smiling and everything will be fine.

Oh, goodness, Saija, I'm sorry to hear this, but glad to read your update at the bottom saying that Leo is already doing much better! You'll both be in my thoughts and prayers -- I hope the antibiotics will knock whatever it is right out and that he'll be fully recovered in no time!

**hugs**
