tis the season ...

for this Christmas season i'll try to post some sort of yuletime scene every day or two ... :o) ... i am trying to block out the "buy this, buy this, buy this" of the airwaves ... and listen to the "Praise HIM, Praise HIM, Praise HIM" of God's word ... i want to invite joy and peace inside my heart - rather than anxiety and stress ... it must be doable? so let's just do this together!

Christmas is not as much about opening our presents
as opening our hearts.

Nice idea - there is too much focus on the commercial side and I get caught up in it too!

Commercialism is getting worse and worse every year. My hubby says that he is becoming a scrooge because of it. he says no one knows the real reason for Christmas any longer. I agree on the latter part!! I don't want to be a scrooge though!! I love giving gifts but the money factor is always the problem. Oh well. Hope your day went wonderful!! Sandy

mari ... it is so easy to get caught up on the buying side of things - it's a good thing i'm not much of a shopper anyway!! :o) ... helps keep me in line! *grin*

Sandy ... tell your hubby that i know what he's talking about! i get like that too - almost scrooge like because i want to buck the world system of "buy buy buy" ... i do love the old fashioned type of Christmas' where less was more - the making of gifts - rather than the cha-ching of money ... and i did have a wonderful day - hope you did too!

mimi ... Amen! i do work tomorrow - 12-5 ... but then i'm off until tuesday again - :o) ... blessings on your weekend as well!

tina ... me too ... quote garden has all these neat little sayings ... :o)

I agree 100%. We drew names this year and will only be buying one present and then for the two grandkids. We are just so happy to have ALL our family here and together for the first time in years!!!!

It is do-able. Let's do it for sure.
