random thoughts

i came across this amazing pic just now ... it's entitled "sunset at the north pole" ... it looks like a huge smile ... kind of, smiling from the top of the world ...

* * * * * * * *

David Fisher has started another blog ... one filled with encouragement ... called
the Barnabas Blog ... it's quite delightful ...

* * * * * * * *

i was going to post a picture of me at niagara falls ... one where much of my hair was standing straight up! ... but i looked too goofy ... my family thought it was hilarious ... seems my hair was the only one doing that???? could it have been the excitement of seeing the falls?

* * * * * * *

did anyone notice that Amazing Race was in Finland last sunday? and will be again, this coming episode ... i thought that was neat, though i wished they would have shown some of the prettier spots from the land of my birth - rather then a muddy field and a mine!!!! sheesh, eh!
* * * * * * *
just a few random thoughts - to break in the mid-week for ya!

David ... *laughing* ... maybe i'll post the pic? it was the oddest thing - static electricity? ... and the pics were taken AFTER i had already smoothed down my hair because my aunts were laughing at me so much ... blessings on your day!

jeanette ... i loved the smile too ... just for us to see, eh? *hugs*

eija ... i know what you mean about busy days ... sometimes i feel like nothing gets accomplished because i'm planning too much for too short a time period ... and then before the work starts, my husband wants me to sit and visit with him - poor sweetie ... so i sit and visit ... wishing you a peaceful rest of the week!

jel ... i love it when i chance on these neat photo's ... some photos on the net have been seen by everyone, but when an unusual one comes along - i like to share right away ... blessings backatcha ...

You were born in Finland? I did not know that!

And that really is a beautiful pic -- thanks for sharing it!

Never mind Saija!! After all you are in God's country right out there on the prairies!
One of the girls we went to school with in Rivers, Man. has lent my sister, Betty all the yearbooks of the 60's and Bernie has spent the last few days scanning them. Looking at those books makes me even more homesick for Manitoba!!...God's country Saija..Aw shucks I guess the whole world is God's earthly country but it just seems like Manitoba is the bestest!!...Love Terry

Such a nice smiling sunset trying to warm up that chilly scene!

I really like David's new blog "Barnabas"..Really, really encouraging, I agree Saija!!

terry ... *smiling* ... the prairies are truly lovely - but you are currently living in the middle of some gorgeous scenery, so i can't feel to badly for ya! :o) ... maybe what you miss from the prairies is the SPACE and the fact it's not crowded, and the highways aren't jammed ... do you think? ... yesterday we went to selkirk and we probably saw 30 cars, on the highway, in total - during the hour drive ... when i was in your neck of the woods, the roads were constantly buzzing ... so i guess you give up one thing, to gain another ... and vice versa ... have a great weekend!

Terry said...

Dear Saija...I guess what I miss the most are the people but I WILL tell you one thing Saija, the Lord has been more than generous with me the last year since I have made my blog site. He has given to me so many dear friends!!
And.. I wouldn't trade THAT for the world....Love Terry

YOU have a great weekend too Saija...

That is really cool! Are you fluent in Finnish?

Saija said...

elizabeth ... i love sharing things that bless my heart!

catherine ... yes, i speak finn fluently, and read it slowly and write it poorly! :o)

Catherine said...

How fabulous! I'd love to be fluent in another language. I used to be fairly fluent in Spanish, but after years of not using it regularly, I lost most of what I'd learned. Now I'm working (slowly but surely) on learning Russian.

Saija said...

catherine ... russian must be hard to learn! the finn alphabet has a few different letters, but i would imagine the russian one has QUITE A FEW more!
