first day at my new job ...

my first day at the library went very very quickly! and i enjoyed myself a whole bunch!!

unfortunately, i did wake up at 2 a.m. this morning - reviewing all the things i had learned and thinking of questions to ask on thursday when i go back to work ... i guess the old brain doesn't log off the same way you can end computer programs! :o? this will be my learning curve ... plus i am working more hours this first week - for training purposes ...

it was fun tho'!!!! i hope that enjoyment continues for most days ... i just want all the blessings, don't i? i DO HOPE/PRAY that i will be a blessing to those i meet and work with!

Perhaps no place in any community is so totally democratic as the town library. The only entrance requirement is interest. ~Lady Bird Johnson

I'm so glad your day went well. It is overwhelming when you start something new and you have lots of things to learn. Soon it will be second nature for you. I know you will be a blessing to those you meet!

mari ... yes, there are things to learn - like inter-library loans, and the different routines of a job ... but as i was checking books in and out yesterday, i was grinning to myself thinking, "this is fun!" ... i will try to keep that sense of joy going! ya!

michael ... and i can walk in the stacks when the library is closed - just enjoying the smell of books! *grin* ...

cathy ... i thought i had better do a quick "i loved it!" post ... and share more as the days go on ... :o)

I've been thinking about you starting the new job and I just knew you'd be a perfect fit. I can't wait to hear of those lives you're going to touch and the blessing you'll receive in return.
Lady Bird Johnson sure left a wonderful quote, I'm glad you shared it, I've never read it before. You're always enlightening me!!

Ohhh, glad you had a good first day. The library, huh? That's a switch, isn't it? The park to the library. :)

Remember, books are your friends! :)

Hi Saija,

I'm glad your first day went well. I start my new position soon. I didn't think anyone would want to hire me given my medical history and that it is so obvious to anyone who sees me, but soon I start at a big Hospital in Sydney as a Quality Improvement Officer.

Hi Saija,
Just wanted to stop by and thank you for taking the time to stop by the cabin!
I've always enjoyed the library and its' wonderful resources-- since I was a little kid--often thought it would be a neat place to work. Sounds like a interesting, learning adventure the Lord has you on!
I enjoyed my visit here today and so very happy to meet you!
Blessings to You! Claudia O.

Oh, I can relate! When I started my new job last fall, I was so stressed out about all the things I had to learn that I would also wake up throughout the night with my mind racing. I know you'll be up to speed and enjoying the new job in no time, though!
