2005 is almost done

“ This is what the LORD says— he who made a way through the sea, a path through the mighty waters, "Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the desert and streams in the wasteland. ” (Isaiah 43:16, 18-19)

this was the verse on my sidebar this morning ... and i felt God hug me, reassure my quaking innards that He is with me - He is doing this new thing ...

i was fretting last night about the move ... so much to do, so little strength to do it with ... then the question of do we pack for a house? do we pack for an apartment? condo? do we pack for storage? regardless of the how and where - we do know the WHEN - 6 weeks - February 15th ... i felt my weak frame shudder ...

i was awake early this morning ... the "help, help" type of prayer sliding easily off of my lips ... fear still within ...

then as i opened up my blog and read the verse for the day ... the Lord hugged me ...

He has made a way ... and He will continue to give strength each day ... my part is not to stray from His side ...

I'm glad all is well now. Moving can be a stressful experience.

Happy New Year, Saija.

Who knows who or what that 'help' will be! :o) That's one of my favorite and most used prayers I think. Usually it goes more like "AAAAGGHHH!!!! HELP!!" Not so very refined.
But we know that we sleep in the palm of God's hands. Nothing can go so wrong it can't be redeemed, and you are right to know that in the end it will all be OK.
Meanwhile, I'm thinkin you got a lot of hard work ahead of you and I hope in the midst of it you'll be suprised with mystery and blessing! Happy New Year.

tina ... yes, the Lord reassured and loved me right away ... we have such an awesome God!

fred ... yes, uprooting ones life is that, isn't it? and now that we are in the packing mode, i see again in what poor health my husband is in ... the things he was able to do 2 years ago - he can't anymore ... but the Lord knows these cares that i have - and i look forward to what HE has in store!

cptnwow ... God is always full of surprises in the "help!" department, isn't He? :o) i am anxious to "get tuit"... though next week will have to be soon enough! blessings on your year coming up - full of a "bundle" of surprises i'm sure!

Help is my most common prayer--I think God must want it that way--I am glad you felt His hug this morning! He will provide!

JB ... the hug continued with our devotional reading and this other book that we read ... it was wonderful ... i just need to learn to walk away from my fear ... i think ONCE we can actually start packing - it will FEEL great ... i haven't wanted to totally disturb leo's football/hockey stuff this new year's eve! so i've just done bits 'n pieces, lots more to go! ... happy new year to you, JB!
