rest is over!

Image hosted by Photobucket.com

Christmas was a wonderful time of REST at our place ... very quiet ... many telephone visits ... a few drop-ins ... but mostly quiet and stress-free ... no thinking 'bout moving, packing or lack of a place to move in to!

but that will now be changing ... we do need to "get tuit" ... cat naps are officially over ...

i think anyway ...

the weather here has been unexpectantly mild all of a sudden ... so, the official plan is to tackle the shed tomorrow - clean it out ... it is much nicer to do that with temps hovering around 32F, rather than -40F ... it really was that cold last year ... brrrrrr ...

i am starting to get nervously excited re our move ... i am waiting for that "new home" to be found soon ... i keep saying "anytime, Lord ... really! ... anytime now" ... *smile* ... God is still asking me to be patient ... sooooo, patient i must be!

"and which of you by worrying can add one cubit to his stature? If you then are not able to do that thing which is least, why are you anxious for the rest?" Jesus ... (Matthew 12:25, 26)

It'll all work it. It always does. Cute picture; especially since I have three cats.

Waiting and working, sounds like a solid pair together, especially when the Lord is in it. I'm looking forward to seeing what the Lord does for you in regards to moving and finding a place. Hope its all your dreams come true and more. *hugs*. I am emptying Mum's bookcase and wondering ....should I really keep as many of her books as I'd planned to? I have quite a collection of my own, yet its hard to let go..but with God's marvelous grace, I could, couldn't I?

maggie ann ... i am going through my books at the moment too! leo got up and was so nauseous that he couldn't do anything else but lay still ... soooooo, i went to plan B - the books ... i have a pile for the library and another pile for one of my sisters ... and the biggest pile i still want to keep ... they are such good friends, my books ... if you have space, keep the books ... the written word is a treasure ... (hugs)

Glad you had a relaxing Christmas--
God will lead you to your new home--you know the phrase--He's rarely early, but NEVER late!!!

becky ... good to hear/see you again! i visited your place and it was good to catch up! your marks at school were impressive too! way to go!

JB ... yes, but dontcha just hate to be the one waiting! *smile* ... i don't even know how to pack ... for a condo? a house? for storage? renting? makes for interesting times, eh!!! and poor leo, it's been so damp (bad for chronic folks!) that all he's been able to do is get from the bed to the couch ... i'm glad it's the 15th of feb for a moveout date ... it does give us time ... :o) ... "my Lord knows the way through the wildnerness, all i have to do is follow ... "

"Strength for today is mine always, And all that I need for tomorrow..." What a comfort in the old songs we still find, eh?

Blessings during this time...also pray that Leo will find strength to help when the time comes that it is most needed! My sympathies on the job of moving...a horrid task I have found, but necessary. A move is on the way for us as well...just don't know where or when...but it will come. Learning to lean...on the Messiah!!

elizabeth ... i think when it's time to make the move to heaven - that will be the BEST move! no "stuff" to take along, no worries about things that can rust or thieves can steal ... nothing except our souls - ready to be in the presence of our Saviour! what a day THAT will be!

What a cute picture that is!! I bet God will get you that house at the last possible minute ;o)...you know how He works sometimes.

It was very mild here today too, +8 C and we actually had rain as well. I don't know if that breaks any record or not, but it was nice. I'm sure that the really cold temps will be coming soon, so I'm not looking forward to that. We've had some cold temps earlier in the month but the really really cold ones will be coming in the next month or two...brrrr! not looking forward to those...

shelley ... the mild temps are supposed to continue for next week here as well ... so i'm a hoping that leo has enough strength to get the shed done - while the weather lasts ... poor guy, i'm his slave driver ... i feel so guilty about that ... bad, saija - bad, saija!
