baking

even though i am thoroughly starting to enjoy this Christmas time in our own odd way ... i am confused with my lack of "doing" ... i haven't even baked a single thing! nothing!

leo is trying to lose weight ... and i'm trying to help him by not baking ... but visions of sugar plums are starting to dance in my head ... i may have to break out the baking gear and make some goodies ...

i do have a stash of home made fudge in the freezer ... however, pies are my specialty and i enjoy making them ...

and as of tonight, i am officially on holiday until the 27th ... :o) ... it has been a really grand time in the library ... i've so enjoyed it ... but i won't mind the time at home either!

blessings on ya!

Maybe you can bake 1 pie. Can you ship it to Michigan?
Enjoy your time off - rest and spend time with Leo!

What's your favorite pie to bake? In the summer and early fall I picked peaches and apples to make delicious pie fillings for the freezer. There is one peach and one apple left ... to savor and hold me over until next summer ;) I'm not baking much either as my waistline has been shrinking a bit (or so according to my hubby) and I want to keep it that way ;)

Saija and Leo,
thanks for letting me know that you have not baked anything yet...
now I don't feel so guilty myself for not having baked anything...
I have received all that we need to be munching on at work... and to add to that would be a sin!!
Have a very wonderful Christmas!!
Love,
Mimi

I haven't baked anything 'Christmassy' yet, just the normal daily things. There are lots of the usual Christmas things I've not done this month--and you know? I'm having the best, most low-stress Christmas ever. :) Sometimes it's God, Himself, who is slowing us down--and that's a good thing. Blessings to you and Leo....Debra

I have not baked either and I think it is the first time in years for me. I am trying to lose weight and hubby does not need it either!! I really get very bad leg cramps when i stand for that long anyway...so!! But if you enjoy baking pies..ONE cannot hurt!! Sandy

I just started baking yesterday - I'm such a messy baker! It doesn't seem like Christmas unless I bake a little something. Enjoy your time off with Leo!!

I have not baked a thing yet either...maybe later....maybe! Either way the days off doing the quiet kind of things we 3 like to do will be good.

Saija, another non baker here. Maybe you could fix something a little low in fat? If sweets are around, I just want to eat them! Have a wonderful time off and a Merry Christmas. Blessings on you two ~
