talking weather is just the Canadian way ... grin ...

There is a privacy about it which no other season gives you.... In spring, summer and fall people sort of have an open season on each other; only in the winter, in the country, can you have longer, quiet stretches when you can savor belonging to yourself. ~Ruth Stout

MY! Now that is cold indeed! Coldest winter we ever lived through got down to that. Does it often get even colder there? Do stay warm and I hope you have a nice warm wood stove too!!

Dear Saija...Yes the thermometer is pretty low here too!!.
With yesterday's ice storm we were without hydro a lot during the day, so I never got a chance to write to you!
I have to go to work now but I will check on you tomorrow.
Please stay nice and warm!
I am going to bring a BIG flash light to Miss Katy's just in case of power failure!!

Take care now you and your sweetheart, Leo...Love Terry

Bernie just checked the temp...It is 17 degrees F..

What a great quote! Its true too...winter brings a quietness with it, a slowing down. Hope you and Leo are doing well. Its good to be back home but when I'm in the kitchen, I find myself opening the wrong cubbord doors for things. My brain still thinks we're at my daughters. Funny! *hugs*

maggie ann ... you're back! you had a nice little stay at your daughters, eh? ... :o) ... but isn't it nice to get back to your own space & place? ((hugs))

Now that is NIPPY! It was 7* this morning and that is cold enough for me although we have had some below 0 temps recently.

Keep that electric blanket plugged in!

Dear Saija...Just got back from work a while ago.
I really don't know how I missed the lovely sunrise in your picture.
I guess I was too busy looking at the thermometer!

Saija, I rememer when we lived out west and watched the weather on the tv[We only had one station back in those days],that we would see the Ontario temperatures and think how lucky they must be...I mean it must be warm in the winter down east!
Well even though the temperatures ARE higher here, the cold goes right through you, not like in Manitoba.
It was a dry cold there and the only harm we got from THAT was a frost bitten nose once in a while!.....

Take care now and keep warm!....Love Terry

terry ... hey i like the pic you used in the comment sidebar - cute! ... and yes, it is a dry cold ... i'm thankful for that ... it did warm up today - but i didn't get a chance (or take the time) to go for a walk ... sigh ... maybe tomorrow! blessings!
