amen . . . i find i have to remind myself daily, that the material things i possess are "wood, hay and stubble" . . . i need to cultivate my inner man, which is the only thing that won't perish . . .
by the way, thanx for popping by Rodney - i enjoy your blog and take on life - as well as hearing about the warm weather you guys have now! blessings, saija
Tis so true. I must admit that I'm in a bit of a snit today, still, over that article I posted yesterday. My next comment reflects that. Sometimes I wish people could be expedited to their eternal ... uh, reward. I know, I know, God loves everyone equally. (sigh)
even in your "snit", you manage to make me smile, Jeanette ...
i was watching Bishop JD Jakes last week, and he had a neat exercise for stuff that bothers us . . . he walked around the stage, graceful tho' he is far from little, and he said "you just shake if off" - and he shimmied and shook his whole body like a dog shaking water off . . . i told leo that when i get annoyed and i start twitching, it's because i'm shaking if off - not having a seizure . . . so make yourself laugh and try "shaking if off!". . . hugs to you!
Heh. That's why I blog. :) I put forth all my insanities in black and white. That way, they can be used against me at some point in the future (can't tell I work for lawyers, can you?)... :)
i compose blogs all the time now ... 95% which don't get put down in black and white, but it's turned into a new mental exercise for me ... and my ole brain needs all the exercise i can get ... :o) ... yes, i noticed that you work for lawyers - chuckle!
hi Bekah ... we are staying warm - thanx - how 'bout you? :) .. i agree re jim elliott - it is amazing how God used something so awful, for something so wonderous - a witness that stirred so many ... and keeps doing that! what an amazing God we serve!

We are often so good at grasping for the temporary that we miss what really matters.
