taking a break

my task today has been putting away the Christmas decorations . . . i was really late taking everything down this year . . . the lights of my card Christmas tree gave our dining room such a nice glow in the evenings . . . well it's dismantled now . . . sigh . . . it was soooo pretty . . .

but i digress (as usual!).

i just wanted to share a neat website with you . . . it is a live webcam of
Victoria, B.C. . . . it had snowed there yesterday, according to my sister . . . it doesn't snow there often, the grass is usually green all year round - Canada's tropics so to speak! . . . so click on Victoria and see the pretty port city . . . but do it quickly before all the snow is gone!

must go finish cleaning up now . . .

I took my decorations down Thursday night. I was really sad ... but then Tug (my older cat) was SO thrilled to have his front window back. He was meowing and purring in thanks. Hopping up there, peeking back at me through the curtains, then he'd see his tail wiggling out the other end of the curtain and got obsessed with it and fell off. Then he decided to get in and out of the boxes I was trying to put stuff in. It became quite the entertaining circus. *laughing*

our pepster was swirling around the boxes and jumping in them too - but he seemed to be sad that we were putting things away (probably because they weren't blocking his view!!) . . . he was far more excited when i took everything out . . . maybe some of the decorations have the smell of kitty on them - he may actually miss his sister . . . ? do you think?

Oh, I think so. I know my cats would be devastated if one of them passed away. :( They're very attached to each other.

i notice that a lot of the folks who's blogs i enjoy reading (you included - naturally!) are cat owners (or cat servants, whatever!) ... hmmmm
