hi ho, hi ho, it's off to the city i go .... hum hum hum ... hi ho ... hi ho ...
the trek to the big city takes over an hour ...and today's the day ... my first trek of the year ... but i won't be going alone ... my aunt has an appointment, so we even have a good reason for our adventure ... and it motivates me to get out of my hibernation mode for a day ...
the weather is mild, -10C at 6:30 a.m., it will probably crack the zero mark again today (can anyone say "spring" ... no? ... too early, huh?) ...
as you can see, i've harnessed our trusty nag ... loaded her up ... and away we go ...
"this is the day the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!"

home again ... :o)
we had a great day ... tho’ during the morning drive, this poor guy with a 4x4 lost control on an icy patch of highway, plowed his way towards us through the divider, then got back on the highway, only to spin completely around, halfway tip, then land in the far ditch up to his 4 wheel keester in snow ... it was quite the ballet, and fortunately had a happy ending - no one was hurt ...
otherwise the day was filled with visiting friends, family and shopping ... it was nice to step out of my den for the day ... the country mouse went to the city ... and had a wonderful time!
