Habits

"It is always possible to be thankful for what is given rather than to complain about what is not given. One or the other becomes a habit of life ..."
Elisabeth Elliot.

habits ... we all have them ... good habits we try to cultivate in ourselves and in others ...

it is my habit to make my bed AFTER i have been up for an hour or so ... some people make it immediately ...

it is our habit to watch the news together in the evening, if we skip the news, it seems like the evening is just not complete ...

saying "thank you" or even smiling is a habit ... something we may have worked on in our early years, but now do automatically ...

how about our attitude or thought life? have you done a check lately? the standard i use is: Philippians 4:8 "Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of a good report; if there be any virtue and if there be any praise, think on these things." ...

wishing you a day full of good habits!
