Ohh, it looks chilly there. You have a good stock of wood, but I'll bet it goes quickly. My uncle (who lives in Iowa), during the winter, has the main job of running the fireplace. He takes great pride in keeping the family room nice and warm. But then for dessert they eat ice cream. Brrrr. :)

i love wood heat . . . it is SO toasty . . . we weren't going to do this anymore (poor Leo has a hard time watching me carry wood, since he can't) BUT, it is a hard addiction to get rid of!!! burning wood that is . . .

i see CA got hit with a big big storm up in the mountains . . .

so far, it hasn't started snowing here yet, just breezy!

:o) . . .

Yeah, rains, flooding, high winds, tornados in Los Angeles county (Whittier). Driving to work yesterday, I fish tailed a couple of times starting out from being stopped. The roads just aren't made for this kind of weather.

My boss, who's from NY said the roads are made different here, without the proper run off or something. Which, of course, contributes to the crazy accidents.

we found the roads down there kind of "greasy" when it rained . . . the oils or something came out in a different way . . . here it takes the oils, etc. so LONG to unthaw after our winters!!! haha
