Perfect Christmas Home

Christmas Home Posted by Hello

here’s my idea of a perfect Christmas home . . .

there is enough sparkling snow to give that clean crispness to the air, yet it’s not so cold that the vegetation around the home is destroyed . . .

the place looks lived in, not entirely perfect - with the window frames needing a touch of paint ...

there is just something that beckons the weary traveler to stop in for a spell, knowing that there’ll be a seat by the fire and food to fill his stomach . . .

have you been a weary traveler in this life?

do you need a place to rest?

may i suggest this perfect Christmas home . . . it can be found any where Jesus is ... He alone can give us that perfect place to rest . . .

Saija -
I added you to my blogroll - finally! Sorry it took so long. Hope you are having a good Christmas this year!
I'm trying to get into a Christmas mood but I always seem to have such problems each year it takes serious effort to get even near the Christmas mood I was in as a kid or as a teenager - maybe I should just give up and start the tradition of an alternative Christmas mood - less consumerist, more Jesus focused :-) Less a secular Christmas more of a spiritual one.

Hey there Maiken . . .
well no wonder you haven't been in a Christmas mode yet, you have had so much on the go . . . maybe now that you are at home, and have gotten some of that emergent church thought out in blogland - the quiet and peace of Christmas will follow . . . that's what i wish for you ... :o) saija
